A very nice hand colored copper plate engraved map. With later coloring with a very strong impression. Image size is approximately 6.5 inches by 5.25 inches with very ample borders beyond the plate mark. This map shows California as an island, Greenland attached to North America the Western United states is almost unknown and there is some sort of landmass west of North America, as well as numerous other cartographic mistakes. A very interesting map from a very interesting mapmaker. Price $550.00
