As the intense African heat ebbed away, and the new colours of dusk were painted across the sky, the two cheetah seen here approached cautiously to partake of their evening drink. Their orange eyes scanned the horison for danger. Their coats were sleek and shiny and they looked strong and healthy. They acknowleged my prescence with long orange stares. I respectfully kept my distance, not wanting to disturb these fragile predators from their long awaited pleasure.
